I must say, I all but gave up wearing heels after moving here, due to cobblestones and not having a car so walking a lot. You may have seen on my blog, I recently bought a pair of fold-up shoes from Redfoot in the UK (I think Preston or thereabouts, actually!) which you wear out and then pop in your handbag (they fold up very small) and you switch to your heels when you're at the restaurant/office/bar/etc. It's great that you found lovely new shoes you can actually wear, but maybe that's an idea if you ever find some other tempting but crippling ones!

Gwan, Maybe another reason why British women wear higher heel is that they don't do a lot of walking!I remebered your post so here is a referece for others.http://gwannelsandiego.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/you-can-drink-your-wine-and-eat-it-too.htmlThose fold up shoes look good and would accommodate my inserts, so I mught investigate. Thanks for the tip.Love Denise

I feel the higher the heel, the smaller my ass, and the longer my legs look. I'm all about getting propped up! It's interesting that English woman wear higher heels than the French, and that the French are the lowest on the scale! I guess French women really do love their ballet flats.I googled JCCFMP heels and it brought me back to your blog! At least in the States it does. What does this mean? Thanks for following and introducing yourself! I'm excited to have a new blog on my reading list! : )

Good for you Denise that you can at least wear a heel again – sadly, I can no longer wear them because of my knee – I do miss wearing heels as I never really feel "dressed up" unless I have high heels on – oh well, at least I get to go out!! LOL! What's that saying about making lemonade???!! Really, I'm just grateful to be "mobile"!!! Mademoisella – LOL on the comment!!!
