(Paris last day) THE MARNE RIVER MEANDER

Ok, so as I said I found a great website with some cycling routes out of Paris.

I took route #3 the Marne river meander, which I followed from the Bastille.  Here are the photos I took along the way joining the main route on the right bank at Pont de Tolbiac going east.

The Chinagora hotel.

The only tricky bit was this passage that you turn down after seeing the Chinagora hotel after the football field, blink and you miss it.

i STOPPED FOR LUNCH IN THE PRETTY TOWN OF SAINT-MAUR-DES-FOSSES
and then decided to return as the gears felt a bit cliky and I didn’t want to get stranded!
back to Paris and the quai St Bernard

another indulgent snack on the Isle St Louis… at an exorbitant price!

Just some eye candy for the birds!

Amazing the sights you see when you are on a bike!

  2. Thanks Mary Kay. Due to having to go back with my "clinky gears" I obviously missed the most beautiful bit of the route. Next time I must do the the whole 39K. Anybody else game?Love Denise
