So here I am, trailing around the town of Vincennes, looking for somewhere to eat. With all good intentions I have brought fruit and yoghurt but I have cycled around the Bois de Vincennes all morning and I am starving.
The Bois de Vincennes was beautiful in a misty damp way. Saturday is a much better day to visit. Less crowds than Sunday.
A cup of tea overlooking the lake.
Ah, here in Vincennes, is a cafe on the corner where all the locals are having lunch. A warm traditional bistro Le Marigny on the corner of rue de Fontenay. I have puy lentils with local sausage, one of my favourite dishes. It tastes wonderful, but maybe that is because I am so hungry.
The forecasted “heavy rain” is just a shower after lunch, but I get a ticket and an audiogide to the Chateaux. Thus place would be marvellous for children to run around. Firing thier imaginations and playing “knights and castles”
On the way back I sat at the front of the driver less metro carriage on line one, again an exciting ride for a child
Ah Denise, the more you blog, the more places I add to my list, lol.I will have to add a few more weeks to our 11 nights next month! Keep 'em coming, I love reading them, even if I have to keep adding to our Paris piggy bank!Jo

Lovely photos Denise but I couldn't get the video to work. We got lost in the Bois de Vincennes last October and never did make it to the Chateau! We approached from the Porte Doree side which was a mistake, but we had a lovely time exploring all the same.Keep the blogs comimg please, I love reading them!Love Janet
